Diversified Plastics welcomes new quality director, Joseph Bourgeault

Minneapolis, MINN–Summer 2008–Diversified Plastics is pleased to welcome our newest employee, Joseph Bourgeault. Joe started the end of July and news-joehas already made a difference in our quality plans.

Joe has had years of manufacturing experience, working his way up from quality assurance technician to process engineer, quality engineer, quality manager and product development engineer. For the past sixteen years he worked for a manufacturer of Mylar balloons and producer/printer of flexible films. Joe is a fully-trained airplane mechanic having worked for Northwest Airlines for ten years. As you can see, his work is quite diverse.

Educationally, Joe believes in keeping his skills up-to-date. He’s completed the mini-series in quality at the University of St. Thomas and has earned a black belt in Six Sigma certification. Joe’s been active in the quality community by being involved with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) for ten years.

Updating Diversified Plastics’ ISO procedures is one of Joe’s first projects. His plan is to revise the company’s procedures, adding flow charts where ever possible. This is an ambitious project with our next audit due this fall.

Joe’s engineering aptitude, quality skills and management experience will enhance his contribution to our management team. As soon as he’s settled in, he will be visiting many of the company’s customers and vendors. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact him for any of your quality issues or just to say hello.
