Carbon 3D-Additive Manufacturing

Carbon VideoStop Prototyping. Start Producing. Diversified Plastics, Inc. is part of the Carbon Production Network. Carbon is next-generation 3D-additive manufacturing that fuses light and oxygen to produce products from liquid resins. It allows many end-use parts to be produced economically. Carbon technology manufactures non-porous parts, comparable to thermoplastic injection molding, using materials customized for mechanical properties, surface finish and stability. The list of parts that can be manufactured with Carbon is growing. Combining hardware, software and molecular science, Carbon enables you to prototype and manufacture parts with the same material and manufacturing process. Request a quote >

3D-Printed Prototypes

Prototyping today isn’t just about creating a sample part. It’s about producing something that not only looks, feels and works like the final product. At Diversified Plastics we use state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of prototyping methods to help our customers get to market quickly, reduce product costs and keep their competitive edge.

Diversified Plastics offers fast, high-precision prototype production using 3D PolyJet printing technology. You can get extremely accurate prototypes using a wide variety of 3D printing materials:

  • Transparent and rigid
  • Rubber-like
  • Polypropylene-like

Your prototypes will simulate the precise look, feel and function of a final product. Ultimately, this helps to compress product design times and speeds final product to market, all while reducing development costs.

3D Printed Injection Molds

Taking PolyJet 3D printing technology to the next level, we are able to print 3D injection mold components. This allows us the ability to produce injection molded prototype parts using the product’s final plastic material. Thanks to this innovative prototyping approach, you can save time and money proving your product design.

Wide Variety of 3D Printing Material

A remarkable level of detail and final-product realism can be accomplished with over 120 types of materials. Up to 14 types of materials can be printed simultaneously in a single part. Using PolyJet 3D printing technology, Diversified Plastics can create prototypes that simulate diverse mechanical and physical properties such as:

  • Rubber
  • Rigid resins
  • Opaque to transparent
  • Standard and ABS-like plastics

The ultra-thin build layers create parts that are high in density with complex shapes. The fine resolution can produce mold cavities with intricate details and smooth surface finishes for low run prototype injection molding.
