Vice President of Operations
Rodd Joos is instrumental in improving our processes and realizing operational efficiency gains between our facilities in Brooklyn Park, MN and Vista, CA. Prior to joining DPI, Rodd was a chief operating officer at Activated Research in Eden Prairie, MN. Rodd holds an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Adam Davis has over five years of experience as the estimator at Diversified Plastics, Inc. Prior to joining the company, Davis was responsible for customer service, purchasing, project management and estimating at Micra Enterprises, headquartered in Hugo, Minn. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Concordia University in Nebraska.
Senior Sales Engineer
Raymond Schenk has over 24 years of experience in the plastics industry. Previously, he served as general manager at Pioneer Plastics, Inc., Eagan, Minn. He also held the positions of technical manager at Laurel Biocomposite, LLC, in Laurel, Neb. and vice president sales at Arc Precision, LLC, in Isanti, Minn. In addition, Schenk was the chief operating officer for Agri-Polymerix, LLC, Le Center, Minn.; sales engineer at Donatelle Plastics, Inc., New Brighton, Minn.; and president at Dyna Plast, Inc., Ramsey, Minn. He holds a Business Administration degree from Aurora University, Aurora, Ill.
Prathna Oudom has more than 12 years of experience in the plastics industry. Prior to joining DPI, he worked for JunoPacific in Anoka, Minn. as a process engineer. In 2021, Prathna was named one of the Plastics News Rising Stars. He holds a Plastics Injection Molding Certificate and Plastics Engineering (AS) Degree from Hennepin Technical College.
Dantae Darden is an application engineer with an emphasis in 3D printing. With a 3D Printing Certificate from Dunwoody College of Technology, Dantae has immense knowledge in additive manufacturing. In 2020, he interned with DPI as a CAD Specialist and helped on many ongoing projects. In October of 2021, Dantae returned to DPI in his current position and now oversees the 3D printing capabilities within the company. Outside of work, Dantae enjoys playing competitive volleyball, golfing, games and hanging out with friends and family.
Rob was welcomed to Diversified Plastics in 2021 as a metrology engineer with a 16 year background in measurement technology. He also held various other roles with over 8 years in the role of a manufacturing engineer, a quality engineer, and consultant/AV engineer - from audio-visual with live and recorded performing artists to specialty medical product measurements.
Senior Project Engineer
Alex Leba is a highly motivated mechanical engineer who has prevalent knowledge and skills in mechanical design, fabrication and project management. Prior to joining DPI, Alex worked as a mechanical design engineer for a life science automation company based in MN. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering-Mechanical Focus from Minnesota State University Mankato.
Quality Assurance Manager
Brandon Burnette is an experienced quality manager and has spent over 10 years in process development, control and improvement. Before joining the DPI team, Burnette was a quality engineer with Spectralytics headquartered in Dassel, Minn. He studied industrial technology at North Dakota State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Gina Frandsen has over two decades of experience in quality assurance. Frandsen is committed to producing precision products with training in Zeiss Calypso CMM, CAD file programming and GD&T. She has been with DPI for over 35 years and is a member of ASQ and holds a CQI certification from ASQ.(ASQ-CQI) and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. Frandsen graduated from North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minn. with an AAS in Graphics.
Pecheng Chang is a quality engineer at Diversified Plastics. His ability to deliver quality, address issues, and satisfy customers makes him an outstanding member of the quality team. Chang has over three years of medical device QA experience. Before joining DPI, Pecheng managed multiple projects, continuous improvement and analyzed data at Abbott. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in Mechanical Engineering.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Tan Ho joined DPI in 2022 as a quality assurance engineer. Tan has an Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology from Minneapolis Technical College and a BS in industrial engineering at Dunwoody College. He has over seven years of experience working in machining and medical device assembly. Before joining the DPI team, Tan was a quality engineer at Abbott and supplier quality engineer at Medtronic.
Metrology Technician/Medical Inspector
John Sumo is a metrology technician/medical inspector with five years of experience working in quality at Diversified Plastic, Inc. John specializes in medical inspections including cleanroom certifications, first article report and validations. John is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. John holds an AA in Plastic Engineering Technology from Hennepin Technical College.
Quality Manager, California
Pablo Soto is an experienced quality manager in DPI’s California location and has spent over 15 years in production and quality in the plastics industry. Soto is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 audit certified and has a passion for quality and continuous improvement. He holds a project management and lean manufacturing certificate.
Wes Durnen has over 5 years of project coordination & management experience. Prior to joining the company, Wes was responsible for IT project coordination/management, logistics, invoicing, shipping, and all customer service for a national restaurant chain through Retail Tech, Inc., based in Chanhassen, MN. Wes has two associates degrees in Sales & Retail Management from Minnesota State College Southeast.
Winters first joined Diversified Plastics, Inc. in 2015 as an assembler/trimmer. In 2020, he was promoted to his current position as customer assistant. Before joining DPI, he worked for Solar Plastics in Delano, Minn. Winters studied automotive technology at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis.
Chief Evangelist, Acceleration Station
In addition to being a business development manager at DPI, Bob Gafvert is the chief evangelist for 3D-printing and additive manufacturing solutions. Prior to joining DPI, Bob was a market and partner director for Carbon. He is based in Wisconsin and has over a decade of experience in plastic injection molding.
Strategic Account Executive
During her career at Diversified Plastics, Inc. (DPI), Janel Rosine has gained over two and a half decades of experience in plastic injection molding and additive manufacturing. She leverages this extensive knowledge to provide customers with advanced manufacturing solutions and responsive service. Prior to being promoted to sales account executive, Rosine was responsible for supervising the daily operations of DPI’s customer advocacy department. She is a graduate of the Minnesota School of Computer Imaging. In 2020, Rosine was selected by Plastics News for Women Breaking the Mold.

Tom Venable leads the business development team at Diversified Plastics. He has over 30 years of success within a wide range of industries. Tom has a proven record of growing companies, creating business strategies and launching new products. He is a strong and efficient leader who is an expert in organizational leadership, executive management, sales leadership and go-to-market strategies.
General Manager, California
Rob Gilman is general manager at Pacific Plastics Injection Molding (PPIM), in Vista, Calif. PPIM is a division of Diversified Plastics, Inc. (DPI), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn. A customer-centric leader, Gilman is responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic planning at PPIM. With nearly 35 years of industry experience, he has been instrumental in achieving impressive growth at PPIM. Gilman has experience in diverse industries, including aerospace, medical device, biotech, electronics and consumer goods. A strong problem solver, he is committed to meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
